Understanding Bloom's Taxonomy Levels

The document discusses Benjamin Bloom's original taxonomy of learning domains and its revisions. It describes the six levels of Bloom's original taxonomy - Knowledge, Comprehension, Application, Analysis, Synthesis, and Evaluation - and how they progress from lower to higher order thinking skills. It then explains how the taxonomy was revised in 2000 to change the categories from nouns to verbs and rearrange the levels. Finally, it introduces the idea of a "Bloom's Digital Taxonomy" to expand the skills associated with each level to incorporate technology into learning.

ACTIVITY
TEST YOUR UNDERSTANDING

1) Elaborate what is the similarities and differences between

original bloom taxonomy, blooms revised taxonomy and blooms
digital taxonomy?

2) As teachers, we ask questions to our learners everyday. Not all

questions are on the same level. Some questions are easy to
answer where other questions may require a great deal of thinking.
Each taxonomy level has a short description, a lists of keywords
that can be used to begin a question, and question starters.

Prepare a table consisting of 10 Keywords, 10 Questions and 5

Assessment/Activities for the Bloom Digital Taxonomy based on
your area of specialization. (refer to example)
