I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:
1. Figure out the components for an objective evaluation of an argument.
2. Apply the criteria in evaluating an argument.
3. Analyze the significance of evaluating an opinion in dealing with their everyday life.

*The teacher will provide three (3) arguments in the context of the political, economic, socio-cultural, and
environmental situations in the Philippines.
*The students will evaluate each argument using the FELT Framework. (See attached evaluation tool).
Example:
V. GENERALIZATION: In doing Philosophy, it is necessary to avoid giving speculations in
looking for a solution to a problem presented, we should always base our search on the truth
not on opinion.
VI. EVALUATION: Let the learners identify two (2) economic, political, or socio-cultural
situations. write two (2) statements of truth about each situation. Then, have them identify
what theory of truth is used.
VII. Assignments: Read about “How to evaluate opinions” for our next discussion.
