Identifies the variety of modals in expressing meaning. Uses modal auxiliary in writing. Recognizes modal auxiliary and their functions. PRE – REQUISITES: The learner, Used it many context. Know about parts of speech. TEACHING AIDS: course book, chart, comic strips.

RESPONSE WARMING UP ACTIVITY : Teacher engage in informal interaction with the students.
INTRODUCING THE TOPIC : Teacher asks the students about
verb and shows a chart with definition of verb. LEADING TO THE TOPIC: Teacher asks the students about auxiliary verbs and shows a chart representing the definition of auxiliary verb. Teacher shows a strip which contain the examples of auxiliary verb.
EXPLANATION OF THE TOPIC: Teacher explains about
auxiliary verb and its example. Teacher shows a comic strip.
Teacher shows another comic strip.
Teacher asks the students to go through the comic strip .Students response the context ,it explains the ability of students. Teacher shows another comic strip.
Students responded as the conversation represent request.
Students explain the context as possibility.
Students identifies each context of conversation and how auxiliaries are used in each context.
GROUP ACTIVITY : Teacher divides the students into four
groups and give each group comic strip and asks to categorize into ability, skill, permission, request. PRESENTATION OF THE PRODUCT : Teacher asks the students to read out the answer
