RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Glogster is a good website for creating graphic organizers. It is designed for students to be able to put together information in a
way that makes it look more aesthetically pleasing, while taking out the necessity of being good at artistry. That being said,
glogster is still a way for students to show off their creative sidein fact, it can let them be even more creative since it requires
less skill to make it look as good (i.e. students dont need to be able to draw). It is good to have as a visual for presentations in the
front of the class, and you can even embed videos and pictures into your glog.
INTEGRATION IDEA - PRESENTATION
Glogster is a good resource for letting students express their creative side. In most cases, students would want to show this off to
their peers, and glogster enables that. It is easy to present to the class (assuming there is an overhead projector). One of the best
parts is that the students dont have to worry about forgetting the assignment at home because it is saved to their accounts. All
they have to do is login on their teachers computer and it is there for them to present. It also allows students to be able to
include videos and pictures. In my opinion, it would be better than powerpoint because the students ideas would all be up there
together, so it would be more difficult to just be reading it straight off, they would have to include more information while
speaking than they have written in their glog.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.
I would say that it is solidly between a 2 and a 3. It isnt a necessary tool to create a better learning environment, but it is highly
effective when it comes to presentations. It hits very hard in the very likely to increase student engagement and support mastery
of the concept(s) section of the rubric. Students are more likely to be listening to their peers instead of the teacher, and because
of that, each presentation is adding to each students engagement and also their mastery. Preparing the presentation itself leads
to more engagement with the material because you need to know what youre talking about when presenting. That leads further
into supporting mastery because teaching a concept to others helps with understanding the concept itself.
