Sand Model Room Based On GIS Platform
Sand Model Room Based On GIS Platform
Sand Model Room Based On GIS Platform
Present System. Presently the Sand Model discussion is being conducted without
use of of any software platform with traditional Sand Model. Although the traditional
Sand Models are time tested and are good, it gives limited scope for flexibility and
requires large floor spacefor different terrains. Further snap situations can best be
achieved in a GIS based 3D model for best dividends.
Proposal. To establish a GIS Platform based Digital Sand Model Room. By
digitizing the traditional workflow, we have to recreate the sand model as a more
accurate, dynamic, real-time, multi-view point rendering system, all the while
retaining the simplicity and user friendliness of the traditional sand model workflow.
DSM (Digital Sand Model) heralds a paradigm shift in the areas of tactical training,
mission briefing and operations planning, with its seamless delivery of digital data
aided with a host of presentation and analysis tools in a highly immersive 3D
visualisation environment.
