Sports Day Postponement

Sports Day was postponed due to a forecast of high temperatures reaching 32 degrees Celsius by the afternoon along with high humidity and UV levels. Wednesday, July 1st will now be a regular school day with lessons instead of Sports Day activities. Planning is underway to hold Sports Day for Years 7-9 on July 15th instead, with Year 10 participating in the fall term.

29th June 2015

Dear Parent/Carer,
Sports Day - Postponed
Due to the weather forecast for Wednesday (1st July), where temperatures are predicted to reach
26C by 10.00am, up to 32C by 1.00pm and alongside high humidity and very high UV levels,
we have taken the decision to postpone Sports Day.
Wednesday 1st July will therefore revert to being a normal school day. Students should attend
school at the normal time and be fully prepared for a full day of lessons.
I do apologise if this has caused any inconvenience but I am sure that you will understand the
reasons for the postponement.
Planning is now taking place to run Sports Day for Years 7 9 on Wednesday 15th July. Year 10
will have an opportunity to compete at the start of the autumn term. Further details will follow in
due course.
Thank you for your continuing support.
Yours faithfully,

Euan Ferguson
Headteacher
