Homophone Lesson Plan for Language Arts

The daily lesson plan is for a language arts word work class on December 12th. Students will be introduced to homophones and asked to match words with partners. They will each receive a card with either a word or definition and try to find their matching homophone partner. Some students will need to come up with an additional homophone word. The teacher will assess learning by checking if students can correctly match their words. To close, students will hand in their cards. If extra time remains, students may define their word or make a sentence using it with their partner's homophone.
