Foiled Leaves Thanksgiving Card

Hi, Judy here today with a quick and simple Foiled Leaves Thanksgiving Card! Dimensional and metallic foil leaves are easy to make with Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors with 3D Foam Leaves. Simply use an embossed background with burlap accent and a stamped greeting to quickly put together this card.

Prepare Card Parts

Cut birch cardstock 5.5 x 8.5 inches, score and fold to make 4.25 x 5.5 inch vertical fold card.

From birch cardstock, cut a 2.5 x 2.75-inch piece and emboss with an embossing folder using a die-cutting machine. Also, cut a 2.75 x 3-inch mat from medium brown cardstock.

From burlap fabric (or burlap ribbon), cut a piece to 0.75 x 3.5 inches. Fray ends slightly.

Assemble Card Base

Use E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser to apply adhesive to the back of the embossed piece and attach it to a medium brown mat. Next, apply adhesive to the back with E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser and secure it to the card front.

Fasten Burlap

Cut a piece of Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/2in. and fasten across the embossed panel for placement of burlap. Peel the liner and press the burlap in place.

Make Foil Leaves

Peel the liner from the medium-size leaf from 3D Foam Leaves. Randomly press Bronze foil from Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors lightly onto a portion of the leaf. Make sure the color is facing you. Continue with Brown and Copper until the leaf is covered with foil. Lastly, press one of the foil colors over the entire leaf to fill any voids. Repeat on two more leaves.

Optional: Touch the tip of E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser on the leaf to transfer just a few dots of the adhesive. Then cover adhesive dots with foil. Repeat as desired on each leaf.

Pull a leaf off of the backing and touch the stem and very tip of leaf to foil to cover adhesive so stem and leaf tip aren’t sticky. Place leaf on center of burlap. Repeat with two more leaves and press firmly into burlap to secure. If leaves are placed lightly, they can moved if needed for desired placement.

Stamp Greeting

Ink stamp with Versafine Black Onyx and stamp greeting below leaves panel.

How easy is that! Change it up with a different greeting, different embossing designs, and even different colors of foil.

Thanks for visiting!

An Autumn Thank You Card

Hi, Jingle here today and I have an Autumn Thank You Card to share with you that celebrates fall color tones and the brilliance of foil! Let’s get started!

An Autumn Thank You Card by Jennifer Ingle for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Autumn Thank You Pumpkin Design

To create this card, I began by die-cutting the pumpkins, inking them, and assembling them with the Dual Tip Glue Pen. I set those aside to let dry.

An Autumn Thank You Card by Jennifer Ingle for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside with 3D Foam Strips Large

Place three 3D Foam Strips Large White at the bottom of the white card panel. I covered each strip with beautiful foils from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors pack. Remember to face the colors towards you and gently rub to transfer to the strips. I love this pack for autumn designs. The gold and copper tones are perfect!

Assembling the Card Front

After foiling the strips, I adhered the pumpkins with a combination of E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser and 3D Foam Squares White Regular, providing plenty of dimension.

An Autumn Thank You Card by Jennifer Ingle for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Finally, I die cut the thank you sentiment from gold and craft striped cardstock and adhered that to the card using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine Adhesive Dispenser. I love how warm this autumn design feels! I hope you give it a try!

Vintage Christmas Card

Hi friends! Can’t believe Christmas is next month! Teri here to show you a Vintage Christmas Card. I will share some adhesive tips on how to make the elements stand out!

Vintage Christmas Card by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Vintage Christmas Card Base

Start by creating a card base from white cardstock. Roll the E-Z Squares® Refillable Dispenser onto the card front. Next, add page pieces from an old book to it. Note: Make sure to put the adhesive on the card front first. Old book pages are sometimes delicate and will tear when you roll the adhesive directly onto them.

Vintage Christmas Card by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Adding Layers

Gather an assortment of printed and vintage-inspired die-cut elements. I picked out a window as a focal point, along with some various Christmas items.

Apply the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser to the back of the window and cover the openings with a combination of transparency and patterned papers. Next, add Crafty Foam Tape Black on the sides of the window and set it aside.

Vintage Christmas Card by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside with the E-Z Runner Petite

Roll the E-Z Runner® Petite Permanent Dots Refillable along some of the edges of the card. Be random and messy for a grungy, vintage look. Gently burnish a piece of red foil from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Celebrate on top of the exposed adhesive. Remember to face the foil color towards you. Use as much or as little as you’d like.

Vintage Christmas Card by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Pop Up the Christmas Scene

Grab your window and remove the liners to secure it to the card front. Determine your design with the other elements. To create a dimensional scene, I used a combination of flat and 3D Foam adhesives. I layered pieces of 3D Foam Tape and Thin 3D Foam Squares to make different depths. Note: This helps steady the elements so nothing wobbles.

Finishing Touches

Finish your card by adding a sentiment and a few embellishments. Pompoms are great for mimicking the look of snow. Simply place an Adhesive Dot with it and adhere them to your card! Use as many (or as little) as you want!

Beautiful Fall Leaves Card

Hi everyone, Yvonne here is a seasonal card. Days are getting colder and the trees start falling leaves in beautiful autumn colors. This was the inspiration for my Beautiful Fall Leaves Card.

Beautiful Fall Leaves Card by Yvonne van de Grijp for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

To make the leaves look frosty, I used a technique called Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside. I would love to share how I made my card with you. Would you like to join me?

Fall Leaves Card Panel

Start by putting a piece of kraft cardstock between an embossing folder with a tree ring pattern and then running it through your die-cut embossing machine. Then, trim the embossed cardstock to a rectangular size. Next, use a dark brown inkpad and gently rub it over the embossed pattern.

Beautiful Fall Leaves Card by Yvonne van de Grijp for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Card Base Layers

To create the card base for the Frosty Fall Card adhere the embossed top card panel onto an orange card panel using the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser.

Beautiful Fall Leaves Card by Yvonne van de Grijp for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Next, adhere to a white card base and use the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser to affix.

Creating Frosty Leaves

First die-cut some leaves from green, orange, and red cardstock.  To add fading colors to the leaves for your Frosty Fall card I colored the leaves in multiple shades with inkpads by simply rubbing red, dark yellow, brown, and olive green inkpads over the parts of the embossed leaves.

Beautiful Fall Leaves Card by Yvonne van de Grijp for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Let the ink dry. Next, apply some glue from the Dual Tip Glue Pen onto a piece of soft foam and dab the glue onto parts of the embossed leaves.

Beautiful Fall Leaves Card by Yvonne van de Grijp for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Then dip the leaves in a mix of clear embossing powder and transparent glitter while the glue is still wet. Next heat using a heating tool. This way the embossing powder melts and bonds the glitter. The result is a beautiful frosty effect. The technique for making your adhesive shine is called Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside.

Finishing the Card

Adhere the frosted leaves onto the card base using Adhesive Dots Micro for invisible adhering. For a finishing touch, I stamped a sentiment onto a piece of olive cardstock using a black ink pad. Then cut a banner from it using scissors. Then adhere the sentiment onto the card using 3D Foam Squares Black Mix.

Beautiful Fall Leaves Card by Yvonne van de Grijp for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

And voilá, your Frosty Fall Card is ready! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and wish you a happy fall crafting!

Mini Gratitude Folio

Hi, Lara here today! Since it is still fairly warm in Texas, there really isn’t a fall season, but it does cool off a little. I created a Mini Gratitude Folio with only one 12 x 12″ paper just for the occasion. Also, I added extra cardstock for the photo mats. Creating simple projects that look advanced is just as fun as creating detailed projects! Let me show you.

Mini Gratitude Folio by Lara Scott for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Create the Gratitude Folio Base

Score and cut one sheet of 12 x 12 patterned paper to form the base of this mini folio. It has many little pockets, flip-ups, and folders, along with a few tags.

Mini Gratitude Folio by Lara Scott for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Adding Elements

Make a little cardstock file folder to fit in the front pocket. Next, add the gratitude label and a few gold foil stars cut from an electronic cutting machine. Then add a small tag to the front side pocket and place some ribbon on it.

Inside Pages

Cut and layer photo mats with white and orange-red cardstock. Place a small “Give Thanks” ephemera and a few die-cut leaves with the E-Z Runner® Grand Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser. For the Plaid card, I cut the paper so it would overlap when closed. Next, I placed gold and white baker’s twine, which is attached to the back of the card with Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/4in.

Mini Gratitude Folio by Lara Scott for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

The page with the heart folds down so more photos can be added with some writing or a quote inside. Don’t forget to add those photo mats! All were secured with the E-Z Runner® Grand Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser. The center page is a pocket under a flap that lifts up. Mini magnets were used to keep the first page closed and velcro dots to keep the pocket sealed.

Here is a close-up of the photo flip-down. I added a gold label and a die-cut heart.

Use a 1.5-inch circle punch to punch out a notch for the pocket in the center pocket page.

Perk Up Soon Shaker Card Tutorial

Who can resist a shaker card with a coffee theme? Hi, Margie here today! To create this card to brighten someone’s day! Featuring our Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6in. it covers my card front with edge-to-edge adhesive to secure my acetate in my shaker element. Let me show you.

Perk Up Soon Shaker Card by Margie Higuchi for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

What are Adhesive Sheets

Adhesive sheets provide a clear application of strong permanent clear adhesive for edge-to-edge coverage on die cuts, embellishments, photos, and papers…acetate too!

View the How to Use Adhesive Sheets video below.

Creating the Card Front

My card front is A2-sized (4.25 x 5.5 inch) so the Adhesive Sheet will cover most but not all of it which is fine. I only need it to cover the open areas. Peel off the liner and place a piece of 3.5 x 5.5-inch clear acetate over it. Designer’s Tip: use the round end of a bone folder to burnish the adhesive into the acetate to ensure secure hold.

With my shears, I cut a narrow strip from the 3D Foam Strips to add on the thinner borders of the card front. Then using the rest of the 3D Foam Strips I covered the rest of the card front. Set it aside.

Adding Shaker Mix to the Perk Up Soon Card

Cut a piece of 4.25 x 5.5-inch blue patterned paper and cover the white card base with Crafty Power Tape Polybag 81ft.. Next, add the cute coffee shaker sprinkles on the left side of the card front, and set it aside.

Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside with Crafty Power Tape

The fun part begins! Apply a strip of Crafty Power Tape Polybag 81ft. vertically down the right side and trim the ends. Pour embossing powder, making sure to press down to secure, and tap off excess. With a heating tool, melt the powder. I love this technique and the Crafty Power Tape Polybag 81ft. does not melt or change its shape!

Finishing Touches

After assembling the card panel with the card base. Stamp the sentiment in a combination of the VersaMark ink and the same embossing powder on the blue patterned paper. Cut it into a strip and secure it with the Adhesive Lines. Add the heart and coffee beans using a combination of Adhesive Dots Micro and Adhesive Dots Small. Done!

Perk Up Soon Shaker Card by Margie Higuchi for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Just a note: Maybe do the heat embossing on the card panel before adding acetate. Mine warped a little. LOL! #LessonLearned Thanks for stopping by! Keep scrolling for the Coffee Lovers’ Blog Hop info. Good Luck!

Watercolor Leaves Note Card

Hi, Judy here today! I went to my stash for the leaves and verse strip for this Watercolor Leaves Note Card. I keep a collection on hand when I need a quick card. Some vintage ledger paper caught my eye and that became the background. The cardstock panel was covered with Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6in. to easily layer the paper pieces.

Watercolor Leaves Note Card by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Cut Watercolor Leaves Card Pieces

Let’s start with the card pieces. First, cut dark olive cardstock to 5.5 x 8.5 inches and fold it in half to form a 4.25 x 5.5-inch card base. For the card panel mat, cut 3.625 x 4.875 inches from brown cardstock.

Make the Background

Watercolor Leaves Note Card by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

For the background, cut a piece of 3.5 x 4.75-inch cream cardstock, cover it with Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6in., and trim off the excess.

Watercolor Leaves Note Card by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Peel the liner from the Adhesive Sheet and place it with the adhesive side up on the work surface. Place a piece of vintage ledger paper at an angle towards one corner. Continue to place ledger paper to cover the adhesive. From the back side, trim off excess ledger paper even with cardstock edges. Designer’s Tip: this background technique can easily be used with patterned papers.

Distress with Ink

Watercolor Leaves Note Card by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Use a foam applicator to rub inks over the ledger paper. I used a combination of Distress Ink in Old Paper and Vintage Photo. Mist with water and dab off moisture.

Assembling the Card Layers

Watercolor Leaves Note Card by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Use E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser to apply adhesive to the back of the background piece and secure it to the dark brown mat. Then apply the adhesive to the back and place it on the card front.

Add Leaves and Verse

From my stash, I gathered three watercolor leaves and outlined three different leaves. Designer’s Tip: Die-cut leaves can be used in place of watercolor leaves.

Stamp a verse with Versamark ink on dark brown cardstock, cover with gold embossing powder and heat emboss with a heat gun. Use a coordinating die to cut the verse strip.

Watercolor Leaves Note Card by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Place Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix on the backs of leaves, arrange on the card, peel liners, and fasten in place.

Watercolor Leaves Note Card by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Use small Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix on the back of the verse strip, peel liners, and place over stems of leaves on the card.

Spooky Halloween Details

I love using the 3D Foam Squares White Mix, to give my stickers some dimension. The mix is perfect to use with all sticker sizes too. For example, I used both sizes on my chipboard skeleton. I used the larger foam square behind his chest and the smaller size for his arms, hands, and legs. I also used both sizes of the foam squares on my stars, owl, bat, spider, and banner die cuts. They are perfect for a fast add-on to your layout.

A Fangtastic Mixed Media Tag

Hello, Jingle here today and I am so excited because today I get to share something that is very much outside of my usual comfort zone. If you have seen my posts, you may know that I love a good clean, simple design and don’t get messy very often. Well, for my project today, I DID get messy! I used some of my favorite adhesives to create a Fangtastic Mixed Media Tag!

A Fangtastic Mixed Media Tag by Jennifer Ingle for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Design Idea for Fangtastic Mixed Media Tag

To create this fun design, I began with a simple tag. Would you believe that it is actually pink?! Yup. It is! But I ended up covering all of that up with textured goodness! You may recognize that bat! I used the same one for a fun shaker card I posted earlier this month, the Batty Halloween Shaker Card! I love getting the most from my supplies.

A Fangtastic Mixed Media Tag by Jennifer Ingle for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Mixing It Up with the Tag

The bat was stamped and embossed and then set him aside until the very end. For the tag background, I used some really cool stuff. Start with painting three different shades of blue watercolor gouache. Next, add some E-Z Runner® Stars Refillable Dispenser and cover with blue foil from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Pastel Colors toward the top section of the tag. Remember to face the color side towards you before rubbing the foil into the stars. Then layer on some silver paste to add luster and shine. Once dried, use black ink over it. Paint for additional color and texture, lending to the spooky feel.

A Fangtastic Mixed Media Tag by Jennifer Ingle for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Adding More Mixed Media Layers

To provide a bit more dimension and shine, add 3D Foam Stars and cover with silver foil from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors. Stamp the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock and adhere it to the tag with E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine Adhesive Dispense. The Creative Photo Corners Mix Pack provided a perfect silver photo corner for the bottom of the tag and secured it with my E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser.

A Fangtastic Mixed Media Tag by Jennifer Ingle for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

I added the bat with two layers to really make him pop off the tag, a combination of Thin 3D Foam Squares Black Mix and 3D Foam Squares Black Regular was used. Complete the tag with a couple of strips of metallic tape on the opposite edges. Lastly, tulle material was threaded through the hole at the top!

A Fangtastic Mixed Media Tag by Jennifer Ingle for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

I hope you are inspired to do something out of your comfort zone in your crafty space today! Get messy and have a Fangtastic Day!

Birthday Leaves Card

Hi, everyone! Like to add texture to your handmade cards? Teri here to show to add even more next texture with the help of foam adhesives next time you use an embossing folder to make a Birthday Leaves Card!

Birthday Leaves Card by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Create the Birthday Leaves Card Panel

I used two white cardstock panels. Emboss the first card panel with a dry embossing folder and set it aside. This will be your card panel base.

Use a combination of ink colors with your ink blending tool on your second card panel and let dry. Next, emboss the pattern with the same embossing folder on the panel. Die-cut a few leaf shapes out of the inked panel.

Birthday Leaves Card by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Designer’s Tip: If you have cutting dies that work with the folder, use them to cut some shapes.

Embellish the Card Front

Trim your white panel to fit onto a card base. Add two Creative Photo Corners Black to it. Cut a large rectangle from a sheet of the 3D Foam Creative Sheets Medium White and place it on the back of the panel.

Birthday Leaves Card by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Mount some of the inked shapes to your white panel with Crafty Foam Tape. Use the E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser to adhere the others flat. Trim any excess. Place the panel onto a card base.

Birthday Leaves Card by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Add a Sentiment and Accents

Stamp a sentiment on a strip of white cardstock. Place it on your panel, using a strip of Crafty Foam Tape to adhere it for a little extra pop.

Birthday Leaves Card by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Complete the card by accenting it with sequins (or other small embellishments) and Adhesive Dots Small.
