A commercial grade brushed finish is known for its durability and textured surface, making it ideal for high-traffic areas. This finish effectively hides scratches and fingerprints, which is especially beneficial in commercial environments where surfaces see heavy use.
In contrast, a satin finish offers a smoother surface that provides a sleek and refined appearance. This makes satin finishes a popular choice for residential spaces, where elegance and style are paramount. While satin finishes look stunning, they can be more prone to showing scratches, which may require more maintenance over time.
Ensure the floor plumbing is properly prepared or use a rough-in kit before installation. Many contractors recommend using an OS&B rough-in kit for freestanding tubs, which integrates with the floor plumbing. You can view an example kit here. Our freestanding tubs include a pop-up drain assembly that is easy to connect. The drain assembly features a tailpiece that slides into the OS&B rough-in kit. Please email our customer support team at [email protected] if further assistance is needed.
Chips, scratches, and cracks can be repaired using the proper Fixture-Fix products.
To remove scuff marks you can use a Cramer Stain Eraser or Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
It’s generally safe to pour boiling water into a fireclay sink because the fireclay is highly heat resistant. As an extra precaution you can run cold water at the same time. Also, if your home uses PVC pipes, running cold water at the same time can help prevent damage to the pipes.
Our Dual-Tier Pro, Roma Hex, Roma Pro, Siena (excluding RVH8002), Veniso, Verona, and Vienna collections are stainless steel workstation sinks with rounded corners. We also make workstation sinks in colored stainless steel, granite composite, and fireclay.
No, you should never allow OxyClean to sit in a stainless steel sink. It will damage and corrode the stainless steel if it is left sitting on the surface.
You should measure the depth of the cabinet and determine how much space you will have left after the sink is installed. To determine the best spout reach for your sink, measure the distance from the faucet’s mounting hole to the center of the drain. Take into account any window ledges or other obstructions that impact your usable space.
We currently do not manufacture sinks with seamless drains.
Our epiStone tubs are made of 70% crushed minerals and stone that are bonded with a proprietary resin under intense pressure which makes them extremely strong and durable. They have a satin finish that is silky to the touch. Cast iron tubs typically have an enamel finish and are heavier which can make the installation more difficult and costly. Cast iron tubs can often rust and chip. Both kinds of tubs have excellent heat retention.
We currently do not manufacture thicker cutting boards.
Our Dual-Tier Pro sinks have rounded corners. These sinks are available in 33″ and 45″ with a brushed stainless steel finish or with a nano-PVD coating in matte gold or gunmetal black.
Our dual tier sinks will include the most accessories, however, additional accessories can be purchased separately.
Depending on your sink model, you may be able to use our Ledge Fit Accessories with your granite composite sink. Please email [email protected] if you need further assistance.
The Veniso workstation sinks will include accessories such as a solid wood cutting board and dish stainless steel drying foldable rack. The Veniso Nova will include black composite accessories such as a composite cutting board, polymer resin colander, and a black foldable drying rack. The interior bowl dimensions will be slightly different as well.
The Roma will have sharp (zero radius) interior corners. The Romo Pro will have gently rounded interior corners.
In order to use accessories such as cutting boards, drying racks, or colanders, your sink will need to be a workstation sink. Workstation sinks have a ledge on the front and back of the sink that the accessories will rest and slide on.
You will need to know the front-to-back dimensions of your sink accessory ledge. You can use this measurement to confirm if an accessory is compatible with your sink. The compatible sink model numbers may be listed in the product description. The compatible accessories may be listed on the sink spec sheet.
To inquire about a product’s weight you may contact our support department for assistance. https://www.ruvati.com/contact-us/
No, we currently do not manufacture covers for our sinks.
You should never use heavy-duty cleansers, bleach, or cleansers with oxidizing agents (for example: Oxiclean) on your stainless steel sink. Sometimes, heavy-duty cleaning agents containing corrosive chemicals can damage stainless steel.
You can use these sinks as your primary kitchen sink.
For additional measurement information not listed in the specifications you may contact our support department. https://www.ruvati.com/contact-us/
Our ceramic sinks are coated with high-gloss vitreous porcelain. Which prevents the surface from staining and allows water to drain easily.
It should be possible to install an apron front sink as an undermount. We recommend discussing this with your installer to confirm if it will be possible.
Cutout templates are not available for our fireclay sinks. Each sink is hand made which means each sink’s dimensions are slightly different. We recommend that you measure the sink itself and use the measurements you come up with to make your cut.
To ensure precision and durability, the raw white clay is fired at an extremely high temperature of 2900 degrees Fahrenheit as the surface of the sink fuses with the interior. The end result is a powerful finish that is resistant to chips, cracks, and other abrasions.
We recommend cleaning the stained area with a Bar Keepers Friend. It may take several cleanings to remove the stain. Additional information can be found in our care and cleaning guide. https://www.ruvati.com/how-to-clean-your-granite-composite-or-quartz-kitchen-sink/
The only sink available in Catalina Blue is the RVG1033LU.
These are the same color.
We currently do not manufacture colored stainless steel faucet hole covers.
For hard water stains, you can use vinegar mixed with water (50:50). Let soak for up to 30 minutes and then rinse off well with water. Don’t let the vinegar sit on the sink for longer than 30 minutes. For additional information please refer to our cleaning and care guide. https://www.ruvati.com/color-stainless-steel-care-guide/
Scratches in the sink will show the same color as the sink finish.
The nano-PVD coating is incredibly tough and resistant to wearing or peeling. Minor scratching of the skin’s surface is extremely difficult to avoid. These marks are usually only superficial and can be removed with a proprietary stainless steel cleaner. The use of rinse grids will reduce exposure of the bottom of the sink to scratches.
We do not have a specific brand or faucet that we recommend. However, customers generally prefer fauces with matte gold, matte bronze, matte brass, or black finish. We also suggest choosing a faucet with a sprayer to make cleaning the sink easier.
We currently do not manufacture colored stainless steel rinse grids. The rinse grids that are included with our colored stainless steel sinks will be T-304 grade stainless steel.
We currently do not manufacture a rinse grid that can fold or come apart for our stainless steel sinks.
You should be able to drill additional faucet holes, however, this will void the sinks warranty.
Our Merino collection of sinks are made of T-316 grade stainless steel and offer extreme corrosion resistance and is ideal for outdoor use. https://www.ruvati.com/cp/outdoor-sinks/
Our lifetime warranty extends to indoor residential use only. While you can install some of our other sinks outdoors, doing so will void the warranty. T-304 stainless steel sinks and black composite accessories can be used outdoors as long as they are covered. Granite composite and Fireclay sinks can be installed outdoors covered or uncovered. Our colored stainless steel sinks and wooden workstation accessories can only be installed and used indoors.
If a stainless steel sink is installed in a marine environment, we cannot guarantee against rust. Any T-304 grade stainless steel sink will have some rust issues in a saltwater environment. For saltwater environments, we have a small collection of T-316 grade stainless steel sinks, which is our Merino collection.
18/10 is the better choice. High-quality sinks are manufactured with 304 16-gauge 18/10 steel.
16-gauge steel is preferred over 18-gauge. Thinner stainless steel has a higher gauge number and thicker stainless steel has a lower number. For example, an 18-gauge sink is more durable and more expensive than a 22-gauge stainless steel sink. When shopping for a stainless steel kitchen sink, the sinks made with thicker steel provide greater durability and longer wear and tear. They are more expensive than the thinner steel, so consider your choices wisely. For additional information about stainless steel gauges please use the link below to view our buyer’s guide. https://www.ruvati.com/16-gauge-vs-18-gauge-stainless-steel-sink/
Almost all stainless steel is rust-resistant, however, stainless steel is not scratch-proof. We recommend using Bar Keepers Friend and a 3M Scrubbing Pad or the rough side of a Scotch Brite pad. You will need to use left-to-right motions. The sink is brushed stainless steel, circular motions will cause additional scratches. It may take several cleaning to remove the scratches as some scratches may be embedded in the sink. After each cleaning, we recommend applying a thin coat of oil. The oil can be food-grade mineral oil or unscented baby oil. Rub off any excess with a paper towel. The oil will create a coating to prevent water spots and can reduce fingerprints. This will also remove rust, discoloration, and water spots. It may take more than one cleaning to remove all the imperfections.
With single-bowl rectangular sinks, it is normal for small amounts of water to stay on the bottom of the sink and dry out. Most of the water will drain out due to the slope and the grooves but some will remain, and dry out. To keep your sink looking new please follow our care and cleaning guides. https://www.ruvati.com/care-and-cleaning-guide/
We recommend cleaning your sink after it is installed. Cleaning and care instructions vary depending on your sink material. We recommend you follow the instructions in your sink care and cleaning guide. https://www.ruvati.com/care-and-cleaning-guide/
We do not recommend putting composite cutting boards in the dishwasher. Instead, please clean it gently with soap and water.
Please follow the instructions in our care and cleaning guide. https://www.ruvati.com/how-to-clean-and-care-for-your-wood-cutting-board/
We do not recommend putting the drying rack in the dishwasher. The product we most recommend is Soft Scrub Bar Keeper’s Friend or you can also use Soft Scrub Weiman. Please clean your product gently with this material. This will also remove water spots, scratches, or discoloration. White spots that may appear on the silicone portion of the drying rack are water spots and calcium deposits. The silicone can be cleaned with a 50/50 water vinegar or 50/50 water bleach solution. The drying rack does come apart for easy cleaning, you should be able to place the stainless steel rods back together with the black silicone.
We do not recommend putting your stainless steel rinse grid in the dishwasher.
You can clean your rinse grid with liquid Bar Keeper’s Friend. You can also soak and clean the feet and bumpers in a 50/50 water-vinegar solution. You will need at least enough water to submerge the grid. When drying the rinse grid, we recommend placing the grid upside down; this will remove the water from the feet and bumpers and prevent mold from growing.
Each sink material will have different care instructions, we recommend you follow the instructions found in our care and cleaning guides. https://www.ruvati.com/care-and-cleaning-guide/
Before you return the sink please submit a warranty support ticket including a photo of the damage and your proof of purchase. https://www.ruvati.com/warranty-support/

Accessories purchased from the Ruvati website can be returned within 30 days of delivery.
Refurbished sinks purchased from the Ruvati website are not able to be returned or exchanged.
After you receive your sink we recommend you inspect the sink for damage that may have occurred during delivery or missing accessories. You will need to verify with your retailer what their return policy and procedures are. We require notice within 30 days of delivery for all damaged or missing items.
Sinks with offset drains are preferred over center drains. Since the drain is located on one side of the sink, there is more efficient storage both inside and under the sink. You will now have more cabinet space for large household items — like a garbage can or cleaning supplies.
Our faucet holes are drilled at a standard 1 ⅜”.
If the radius information is not listed on the sinks spec sheet you can contact our support department for assistance. https://www.ruvati.com/contact-us/
The RVA1025 basket strainer drain has a standard 1-1/2″ thread. A standard kitchen PVC p-trap (1-1/2″) should work with the drain. The RVA1025 will connect to a tailpiece and P-trap with a nut.
In order to attach a garbage disposal to the sink, you will need a garbage disposal flange. You can use the garbage disposal flange that comes with the garbage disposal you purchase or you can purchase one separately. As long as the garbage disposal flange can accommodate a 3.5″ drain opening, any brand should work.
Most of the time you are able to install your undermount sink in reverse. You will need to take into consideration the location of the drain and the direction of the Ruvati logo.
We do not have a required countertop thickness for undermount sinks. Topmount sinks may require longer mounting hardware if the countertop is thicker than 1-¼”.
We do have mounting clips that have a bracket length of 2 5/8″. To request longer mounting clips please submit a warranty support request. https://www.ruvati.com/warranty-support/
Our undermount sinks are compatible with stone countertops such as granite or quartz. We do not provide the hardware to install our undermount sinks in a laminate countertop. We recommend confirming with your contractor if it can be done.
This will void the warranty, however, you may be able to install a topmount sink as an undermount sink. We do not provide the installation instructions or hardware to do so.
You cannot install an undermount sink as a topmount sink. The exterior flange of the sink is not wide enough to support the sink.
This will vary depending on your faucet style and installation requirements. Generally, most installers will recommend having 1.5″- 3” in front and 3″- 5” behind the sink.
We do not recommend installing your sink in a space smaller than the minimum base cabinet listed. Doing so will make the installation difficult and can result in damage to the sink which will void the warranty.
Cutout templates are available for most Ruvati sinks, excluding our fireclay, porcelain, and apron front sinks. If available, a template will be included in the box with your sink. A DXF or PDF template can be obtained from our customer support team. Cutout templates are only provided as a guide. Before cutting your countertop, you should place the template on the sink to ensure the template will give you the proper cutout. Ruvati is not responsible for improper sink or countertop installation. Ruvati is not liable for any damages to the sink or countertop or personal injury during the installation.
