Call Zal.
Refactor invests in hard tech founders.
I’m Zal (like “Saul” but with a Z), founding partner at Refactor. I invest in seed-stage hard tech companies primarily in the US. What does “refactor” mean? In computer science, refactoring code improves its efficiency and scalability. Here, our companies aim to refactor their respective hard tech industries.
I typically lead or co-lead pre-seed and seed rounds with $1-2M checks from my 4th fund ($50M in size), which I started to deploy in July 2024. I raise a new fund every few years. As a solo capitalist and the only employee at Refactor, I decide fast, and if we team up, you’ll have me on speed dial. It’s that simple. #BetterCallZal
