I am obliged to once again remind anyone interested in the climate debate to be aware of a couple of uncomfortable facts.

If one would make the effort to Google “why did the last ice age end?,” one would find that the physics of spinning objects in space increased the amount of sunlight hitting the northern hemisphere some 12,000 to 15,000 years ago.

Sadly, the earth will continue to warm regardless of how much pain the climate alarmists would inflict upon us. The wish list of the green energy movement will only change the rate of warming.

If China and India don’t get on board, it won’t change at all.

So called “climate deniers” do not deny that the planet is warming, but question the dogma of the climate alarmists.

Consider a scenario of Aladdin’s lamp falling into the hands of the green energy movement and the Paris Accords were implemented yesterday. Would anyone reading this letter see any improvement in climate in their lifetime?

The vagaries of the planetary carbon cycle are such that there is already too much atmospheric CO2 to be absorbed anytime soon. Even at 0 emissions the CO2 level will be decades away into the future. Therefore climate relief is a long way off regardless of your Individual or collective action.

We are being forced by statute to pay more for food and energy and to lower our standard of living.

US citizens are asked to make blood sacrifice (Hebrews 9:22) to appease Gaia for our environmental sins, while China and India are belching out ever increasing CO2 levels possibly into perpetuity, increasing that timeline. USA carbon emissions have diminished over the last 20 years.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, we immediately face the specter of drought related water shortages and energy shortages due to green energy statutes.

The quest for clean renewable energy is fine dandy and even admirable, but only at reasonable expense. To exclude measures to increase water storage for domestic, agricultural and clean hydro power use is pure folly. The environmental lobby opposes such measures. Why?

Unless I missed something, we’re being told that our droughts will continue until the CO2 levels sre corrected. If that is indeed the case, then we need to plan for the water and power needs of our people now.

We can’t afford to wait decades for the Rapture of the green utopia.
