Welcome to Thursday Art and Dinner Date! This week’s optional art prompt is “Swords”. I drew Bugs Bunny as he discovers he’s carrying a singing sword from the Looney Tunes short “Knighty Knight Bugs”. In the short, Bugs plays the court jester who is ordered by King Arthur to retrieve the stolen sword from the Black Knight (who is played by Yosemite Sam)!
I sketched Bugs as I watched that short and then outlined him with a black marker in my sketch book. Then I uploaded a photo onto my computer, colored him in, fixed him up a little and found a suitable royalty-free background on Pixabay.
I don’t have any dinner to share this week friends but I do have a beautiful misty sunrise to show you! This is where I walk the dogs every morning. Isn’t it beautiful? I love where I live!

Thank you for sharing, dear Rain. It’s always a pleasure.
It really is beautiful where you live, Rain. I’m so happy for you! Bugsy is cute!
Bugs looks surprised. 🙂 What a beautiful sunrise!
That is a lovely misty sunrise …
All the best Jan
I remember that singing sword cartoon with Bugs very well! A fave of mine!
Too bad we can’t hear the sword sing 🙂 I love how you captured Bug’s surprised look. What kind of pen are you using to color with in your computer? And where can I get one :)? I love the foggy morning shot. We are starting to get foggy mornings here too, which I can see out my window, but they are cleared by the time I get dressed and go outside. Where you are, you could go out in your PJ’s and no one would know, right? I do believe fall is here … and I love this all too short season. Be well, Rain …

Well done with Bugs and the sword, dear Rain. And the misty view is definitely an acceptable substitute for food 😉 I actually have several swords for you today – I hope you like them! All the best, Traude https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2024/08/kelten-katzen-und-mehr-sommer.html
Love your misty walking grounds and cute Bugs with sword!
