On Monday, organizers revealed the nominees for 2024’s The Game Awards, with Astro Bot, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth garnering the most nominations, including Game of the Year.
What reveals will be at this year’s Game Awards? Keighley hasn’t started teasing that just yet, but 2025’s calendar is loaded. We could get fresh looks at upcoming releases like Sid Meier’s Civilization 7, Doom: The Dark Ages, Fable, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, Judas, and South of Midnight. Keighley’s good friend Hideo Kojima has no less than three games in development, so we might also get a peek at Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, OD, and/or Physint.
Last year’s Game Awards was announcement-packed, with reveals for Marvel’s Blade, Light No Fire, Exodus, and many, many more. Sega alone announced new Jet Set Radio, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Shinobi, and Crazy Taxi games during the 2023 awards show.

The Game Awards 2024 airs on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. EST/4:30 p.m. PST.
Where are The Game Awards streamed?
The show will be streamed live on all of The Game Awards’ official channels: YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, TikTok, X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, and Steam.
How long are The Game Awards?
The shows typically run 3.5 hours, including a 30-minute pre-show. The Game Awards organizers have not announced how long the 2024 event will be, but expect something between three and four hours long.
What are The Game Awards Game of the Year nominees?
The full list of The Game Awards nominees for 2024 was revealed in mid-November. Six games are up for the Game of the Year award, which typically closes out the show. This year’s Game of the Year nominees are:

- Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
- Balatro
- Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
- Black Myth: Wukong
