Astro Bot is as much an homage to Mario 3D platformers as it is an ad for the PS5’s hardware and a museum of characters and references from games that have graced PlayStation hardware over the past 30 years. It’s one of Polygon’s GOTY 2024 challengers, and has earned a GOTY nomination by The Game Awards.
