Playing their cards to perfection, Team dsm-firmenich-PostNL duo Romain Bardet and debutante Frank Van Den Broek held off the peloton by seconds to win Stage 1 of the 2024 Tour de France in Rimini, Italy. For Bardet, it is his fourth stage win and his first chance to wear the yellow jersey that he has pursued his whole career, in his eleventh and final Tour.
