The slow, monotonous flow of the offseason is truly setting in now that we’re more than a week into it. As other sports take the spotlight for the next few months, we’re left to get cozy and hope that we get more than little scraps of free agent news over the next few weeks. Some of the biggest names aren’t expected to be off the board for a while, but that won’t stop some teams from getting a head start and setting the market.
Speaking of those big names, Peter starts us off today with some thoughts on Yankees fans and their wholehearted embrace of Juan Soto this past season. Matt jumps in to cover the longest home runs that the Yankees hit this season, heavily featuring one Aaron Judge, and Nick Sarnelli gives out a report card to Alex Verdugo. Finally, Kevin crowns an obvious playoff MVP to the Yankees’ biggest bopper who came through in the clutch in each and every series.
Questions/Prompts:
1. Will we see more or less than two contracts worth $80+ million signed before the Winter Meetings?
2. Now that it’s over, where does Giancarlo Stanton’s postseason run rank in your individual October performances? How much higher would it have been if the Yankees won it all?
