The Two Yankees Off Seasons That Can Be

The Yankees made it to the World Series last year for the first time in 15 years. This off season coming up is a turning point for the franchise. Juan Soto the 26-year-old super star that was a huge part of the Yankees World Series run is a free agent. The Yankees have a tone of pressure to bring back Soto. With teams like the Mets and Dodgers amongst a handful of teams going after the multi time all-star. Soto’s decision is goanna give The Yankees two different paths to building a team that can get The Yankees back to the World Series and this time win it.

The Path with Soto

This is the path that all Yankees fans want. You bring back Soto and piece the team together from there. Christian Walker from Arizona is someone to look at for First Base. His glove along with solid bat at a reasonable price will be something the Yankees would love to add. Another name for First is Carlos Santana to look at here. If the Yankees bring back Soto spending more on free agency is something that will not be easy. The Yankees have a budget which will be for in this case Soto and someone for First Base. Look for the Yankees to add on to the bullpen with guys on cheap deals bringing back Tommy Khanle and Tim Hill. The Clay Holmes run has to be done ....It’s over. The rest of the team will be filled in house but one trade I would like the Yankees to make is for Nico Hoerner. He is someone when healthy can get on base and will be on to be driven in by Judge and Soto. I would also look into trading Spencer Jones. You bring back Soto and your outfield is pretty much set until Stanton is out of the DH spot and out of the Bronx.

The Path Without Soto

Before I write this I want to say a couple of things. First I do not want this happening at all. This can’t happen you need to keep the 26-year-old super star...You can let the Mets outbid you for him after losing in the World Series and Judge not showing up. Second I will be reasonable with this meaning...Corbin Burnes is not goanna be someone I am going to say the Yankees are getting. Again while I would love for that to happen, but I do not see the Yankees doing it. Also Gleyber its basically done I don’t think The Yankees are going to try to bring him back .. So let’s build a team... So without Soto the Yankees will have two things. Money and a lineup that with Soto had holes but now have bigger ones. Let’s Start with First Base...The obvious player everyone is going to say is Pete Alonso. I do not see the Yankees going that path mainly because it locks up not only First Base but down the line DH with Alonso being a below average defensive first basemen. So the Yankees will go with the short term vet. I don’t see it being Paul Goldschmit. The Yankees just went through that with Anthony Rizzo. It brings me back to Walker... It’s a safe short term deal that’s do able for the Yankees. Jazz will be going to second base. So that leaves third base open. This is where the Yankees make the big splash that I don’t love and get Alex Bregman.. While the Phillies are the favorites to land him I think The Yankees will go and pull the trigger on this. Then we go to the outfield. All the reports right now are saying the Yankees love Teascar Hernadez and I think that’s the move for them. Now this is where I think the Yankees get more aggressive, and they go and get Tanner Scott, they add to Luke Weaver and make the back of the bullpen a strength. I still would love the Nico Hoerner move and I also would love the Yankees to go and get Ha-Seong Kim.

I will say this one last time....just make it easy and BRING BACK JUAN SOTO!!!!
