Conservation Partnerships & Programmes

Opticron is committed to promoting wildlife and nature observation and conservation in all the countries it serves. Programmes vary from direct sponsorship and support of events, projects and publications, to individual donations of equipment for volunteers involved in particular programmes.

See below for more information on our partnerships with The BTO, The Wildlife Trusts, ORCA, Butterfly Conservation, WDC Shorewatch, A Focus On Nature and The Great Bustard Group.

Social Media Ambassadors

Starting in late 2020, we added a Social Media Ambassador programme to our Partnerships & Programmes activity. In return for the loan and/or donation of Opticron equipment, the people on this scheme help us reach a wider social media audience and provide us with new and interesting content for our social channels.

Sponsorships & Donations

Opticron receives and acts on dozens of requests for sponsorships each year from individuals looking for kit for themselves or their club, as well as requests for support from organisations looking for funds to help them in their charitable work in the wider community. The Sponsorships & Donations entries below show some examples of recent sponsorships and product donations, grouped by year.

How To Get Involved

If you or your organisation are interested in working in partnership with Opticron, are looking for sponsorship or wish to apply for a donation of equipment please email us for more information.

Please note: Where we have a specialist retail partner that is local to you, in the first instance we will invite that partner to respond to requests for support.
