our legislative work

Nevada's Legislature holds its legislative session every other year in odd-numbered years. They begin on the first Monday in February after the election of members of the Senate and Assembly. Sessions are limited to 120 calendar days.

During the legislative session, One APIA Nevada works to hold elected officials accountable for the needs and priorities of Nevada's Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islanders and advocate for policy solutions that further the wellbeing and prosperity of our community.
