Legendary wrestler AJ Styles is denying that the WWE refused to let him be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame and says that, as long as he's still professionally working, he doesn't want to join a HOF.
In a recent social media post, Style explained that not entering the TNA Hall of Fame was his own decision, saying, "I'm still an active wrestler... I hope. I made the decision not to go into the TNA HOF, not WWE. I appreciate TNA, but I don't want to go into any HOF as long as I'm still active. My choice."

This appears to be in response to a recent report from Fightful Select that claimed that the WWE, where Styles currently performs on Smackdown, had blocked a TNA honor so as to not interfere with upcoming storylines. According to the wrestler, that is absolutely not the case and it has more to do with his current working career.
Interestingly, Styles has recently spoken about retiring sometime in the near future, telling The Ringer, "I'm done. I'm going to retire. I'm getting to that point where I am worried about embarrassing myself. My brain says, 'We can do this.' My body is like, 'You're stupid. We cannot do this. We're hurting every day when we roll out of bed.' At some point, this has to come to an end."
That was before WrestleMania XL, where he lost a match to LA Knight on Night 2. However, following that event, Styles defeated Knight and secured his position as the number-one contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
After two closely contested matches against champion Cody Rhodes, Styles took a hiatus to recover from injuries. Unfortunately, his in-ring return against Carmelo Hayes was cut short after suffering a Lisfranc injury during the match.

Styles has held numerous titles throughout his wrestling career, making him one of the most decorated wrestlers currently working in the industry. In WWE, he is a two-time WWE Champion and a two-time United States Champion.
His accomplishments in TNA include being a multiple-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion, as well as holding various tag team championships. In New Japan Pro-Wrestling, he captured the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and was part of the Bullet Club. However, if he is to be believed, Styles may be looking to retire soon and perhaps then will allow himself to be inducted into a Hall of Fame.
