HRH Prince Salman hails Bahrain national football team for winning Gulf Cup title

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, emphasised the significance of Bahrain’s victory in the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup, describing it as a source of pride for all Bahrainis.

He added that it is also a reflection of the advancement of the Kingdom’s sports sector, which is the latest in a series of accomplishments in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development over the past 25 years since the beginning of HM the King’s reign.

HRH Prince Salman was speaking as he met yesterday with the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, His Excellency Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, and the Chairman of the Shura Council, H.E. Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, at Gudaibiya Palace. During the meeting, His Royal Highness was congratulated on the Bahrain national football team’s victory in the Gulf Cup, marking the second time the Kingdom of Bahrain has claimed the title.

Pride

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed his pride in Team Bahrain’s dedication and strong work ethic across various sectors, highlighting their contributions to the Kingdom’s comprehensive development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His Royal Highness reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing its development and building on past accomplishments to ensure continued progress. He commended Team Bahrain’s excellence, creativity, and determination in driving the Kingdom’s progress, emphasising that working together is key to success.

His Royal Highness highlighted the private sector’s crucial role as a key partner in advancing the Kingdom’s economic development.

Gratitude

Al-Musallam, Al Saleh and Sameer Abdulla Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressed their gratitude for HRH Prince Salman’s dedication to strengthening collaboration between the Executive and Legislative Authorities and private sector institutions, thereby advancing the Kingdom’s progress.

The Deputy Prime Minister, H.E. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior, H.E. General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, H.E. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Deputy Chairmen of both Councils, members of the Council of Representatives and the Shura Council, and a number of senior officials also attended the meeting.
