Guy Bowe is an Associate at Mullen Coughlin, practicing in the firm’s Incident Response practice group and counseling organizations who have been the victim of a data privacy and security incident. As the organization’s Breach Coach, Guy works closely with external third parties to determine any legal obligations stem from the incident related to state, federal, international or industry-specific data privacy laws and regulations and with subsequent law enforcement reporting. He also coordinates post-incident activities such as individual notification and internal or external communications related to the incident.
Guy honed his legal skills and his practical approach to providing legal services to clients as an associate with two Virginia-based law firms. He also has tax experience from his time at Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he advised multinational corporations on M&A structuring and tax planning in various international jurisdictions.
While a J.D. candidate at Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, Guy clerked for the Honorable John E. Jones, III of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. He also received the CALI “Excellence for the Future Award,” honoring the student with the highest grade, in seven (7) legal courses.
Outside of his practice, Guy serves on the Board of Directors for the Alexandria Bar Association. He currently is Chair of the “Bylaws Committee” and previously was Chair of the “CLE Committee.”
