Alexis Childs is an Associate in Mullen Coughlin’s Incident Response practice group. She focuses her practice on responding to, and investigating, data privacy and security incidents on behalf of organizations of all sizes and from all industry groups. As a Breach Coach for victim organizations, Alexis works closely with the organization’s incident response team, as well as various incident response stakeholders – forensic investigation firms, law enforcement and cyber insurance claims representatives, among others – to first identify and mitigate the incident followed by identifying legal, regulatory or industry-specific obligations the organization may have as a result of the incident. This includes notification to individuals, regulatory agencies, law enforcement and business partners, as well as post-incident credit/identity monitoring and internal/external communications about the incident.
Before joining Mullen Coughlin, Alexis was an associate attorney at a full-service law where she focused on advising organizations in complex insurance coverage matters, specifically as it related to cyber insurance coverage.
