Q1あなたの研究テーマについて教えてください。
My research focuses on probiotics. Probiotics are good bacteria which provide benefit to the host. The effect of probiotics is so impactful and wonderful to their host. These tiny organisms work within the host's body to improve their host digestive and immune system. They are such an interesting and fascinating microorganism. Even though they are small, they have such a power to change our life. Together, let’s research and change the world with these small things.
Q2いつ頃から大学院博士後期課程への進学を意識しましたか？
At first, I never imagined myself as a Ph.D. student. Even so, during master’s course period, I discovered my passion for research. Back then, I faced various challenges in my research and struggled throughout the learning process. I failed, tried again, failed once more, and kept trying. Despite being caught in this continuous loop of effort and failure, I realized that I loved it. The process of thinking critically, discussing ideas, solving problems, and facing challenges as a researcher felt like a perfect fit for me. That realization inspired me to pursue a Ph.D., marking the beginning of my new journey.
Q3大学院博士後期課程での学生生活について教えてください。
Life as a Ph.D. student has been better than I expected. As Ph.D. students we are required to perform the research at a professional level. Firstly, my image as a Ph.D. student needs to spend the time, working only in the laboratory and always busy. However, I have found that I still can manage my time, allowing me to pursue activities I am passionate about, such as exercising and social gathering. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed my Ph.D. life at this university.
Q4次世代研究者挑戦的研究プログラムに採用後、何か変わりましたか？
Being a part of the Next Generation Research Program has been a huge change for me. This program provides a greater opportunity to conduct more creative research projects due to the increasing of research budget. Moreover, the international seminar aboard is not difficult to reach anymore, as the program supports funding for presentations oversea. Which is fascinating for Ph.D. students who want to focus on their research and continually enhance their skills.
Q5将来の目標について教えてください。
After graduation, I aspire to become a professor. I want to guide the next generation of students, provide them with proper and meaningful advice, and help them become better versions of themselves. Students are the foundation of the future, and a stronger foundation leads to a brighter future.
