Harold died December 13, 2013 and Betty continued living in Aberdeen the rest of her life.  Harold and Betty were members of Ebenezer Lutheran Church near Corsica and after its closing in 1979, they transferred to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Stickney.  During their 64 years of marriage, Harold and Betty worked side-by-side on the family farm.  Betty enjoyed working outside, baking, and preparing for the family visits.
