Will VJ be coaching here next season

This season likely catapults VJ back into the conversation of possible HC in the NFL next season. Right now I would say the following HC positions are or will be available:

New Orleans Saints

New York Jets

Jacksonville Jaguars

Chicago Bears

New York Giants

Dallas Cowboys

Las Vegas Raiders

Likely to be a couple surprises as well that we weren't expecting.

The question will be with that many openings who are going to be the likely candidates, Bill Belichick, Joe Brady OC for the Bills, Ben Jonson OC for the Lions will probably top the list of guys who get shots, remaining top candidates include:

Brian Flores - DC for Vikings

Aaron Glenn - DC for Lions

Jeff Hafley - DC for Packers

Kliff Kingsbury - OC for Commanders

Todd Monken - OC for Ravens

Bobby Slowvik - OC for Texans

Arthur Smith - OC for Steelers

Matt Nagy - OC for Chiefs

So where does VJ rate in this group. He obviously had the previous HC experience that went badly in Denver, but one could argue he learned from it and wasn't given much to work with, especially at the QB position. Flores obviously has had issues as a HC, but has the Vikings defense performing at a very high level. Smith was a previous HC for the Falcons and was not good but being able to win in Pittsburgh and resurrect Wilson career is pretty good. Kingsbury is another guy that can develop young QBs but may be a better OC than a HC.

My gut tells me this would be what I would see as likely changes:

Cowboys - Belichick

Jets - Monken

Giants - Hafley

Bears - Johnson

Raiders - Kingsbury

Saints - VJ or Glenn

Jaguars - Brady
