Step 1: Browse, and fill your cart

Step 2: Go to checkout
To complete your purchase, sign in to your Microsoft Account. You’ll see the full price of your items displayed by default in your cart at this time.
Step 3: Select your payment type
At checkout, choose a way to pay. Choose Citizens Pay.
Step 4: Apply for Citizens Pay
Fill out the form, agree to the terms at the bottom, and submit your application to Citizens Pay.
Step 5: Complete your purchase

A Citizens Pay Line of Credit lets approved customers make purchases at Microsoft Store for a low monthly price and no upfront cost.^ This Line of Credit offers you a fixed interest rate of 0% APR for up to 18 months.^ You will receive a statement each month, and Citizens Pay recommends setting up automatic payments in order to ensure that your bill is paid on time. This payment method offers $0 down and no interest or fees when you pay on time.

Actual line of credit amounts are set based upon an applicant’s credit worthiness and will range from $1,700 - $6,700. To be eligible to apply for a Citizens Pay Line of Credit, your cart size must be a minimum of $900 in qualifying products before taxes and shipping.
You must have a minimum of $900 in qualifying products in your cart pre-taxes and shipping before you are eligible to apply for qualification for a Citizens Pay Line of Credit. Once you have filled your cart with qualifying items totaling a minimum of $900 before taxes and shipping, go to checkout and sign into your Microsoft Account. Select ‘payment type’ and in the drop-down menu, choose ‘Citizen’s Pay.’ Fill out the form completely and then submit your application. If you are approved, you will be informed that you have a revolving line of credit available to use at checkout.
When you submit an application to Citizens Pay, Citizens Pay first checks eligibility using a soft credit check, which will not impact your credit report or score. If you qualify in the pre-approval process, at that time, Citizens Pay will do a hard credit check, which may impact your credit score.

If your cart has items totaling an amount higher than the credit limit you've been approved for, or you are ineligible for a Citizen’s Pay Line of Credit, you will receive a message stating that you have been denied. You can select another payment type and continue with your purchase.

Microsoft Store's refund policy applies to all purchases, including purchases made using your Citizens Pay Line of Credit for Microsoft Store. If you return a product you purchased using your Citizens Line of Credit in accordance with the terms of our return policy, your Citizens Pay Line of Credit will be credited appropriately. This applies to all products with a 30 day return policy and to Surface, which has a 60 day return policy.
If you have already made payments on your Citizens Pay Line of Credit for Microsoft Store, you will receive a check from Citizens for the amount that you have paid. If no further purchases are made using your Citizens Pay Line of Credit for Microsoft Store, your account will be closed after a period of inactivity—usually 90 days. Approved customers will receive a welcome email from Citizens Pay shortly after their Microsoft Store purchase. This email will contain a link to set up your account and enroll in the automatic payment program.
