Wal-Mart has revealed the Phoenix figure from Mego’s recently announced Atlas Comics line, which is slated to drop at New York Comic Con this weekend. You can also order it online from Wal-Mart’s Collector Con Website this Friday October 18.
Mego has teamed up with Wal-Mart and Atlas comics to create a series of Action figures based on the classic characters. This was revealed in a video announcement this past week.
Wal-Mart is officially launching this line by giving away 100 figures each day at New York Comic Con. Mego’s Marty Abrams will be signing at New York Comic-Con on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12-2pm at booth 2843 signing not only the Atlas figures but any vintage piece you may have.
Atlas Phoenix
Ed Tyler is the only survivor of space station Threshold I and is held captive by an alien race called the Deiei who are responsible for man evolving from apes.
The aliens want to destroy mankind and start their experiments again. Tyler steals an alien uniform and escapes to Earth to stop the Deiei from killing all humans using their own technology against them.
