Medical Fitness Week

Medical Fitness Week, the second full week of May, is an opportunity for you to motivate your members to expand their use of your facility! Pick a week in May, National Physical Fitness & Sports Month, and get your community moving. We looked at the 6 Pillars of Lifestyle Medicine from our Strategic Partner, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine:


Take a pillar for each day of the week and encourage your members to try something new at your facility such as a group exercise class they've never tried; have a conversation with the in-house dietitian or nutritionist or health coach; try a yoga or meditation class; get a massage; introduce yourself to a staff member; cook with a new veggie; read nutrition labels for the week to eliminate toxins, etc. 

Get a little creative! Make a bingo card that they check off and have a raffle of the completed cards. Most of all...celebrate a healthy lifestyle while encouraging your members to break out of their comfort zone and try something new!
