Consistent with UNC System guidance, medical students and residents/fellows under GME require an exemption for all UNC-affiliated global travel. Please see under “Global Health Opportunities” for medical students or resident physicians for more information. At this time OGHE is only able to support travel exemption requests for travel of at least 4 week duration (at least two weeks for residents and fellows) and with at least 45 days notice prior to planned departure.
