Nexus® was released in 2004. It offers a unique concept consisting of three ‘connected’ typefaces: Serif, Sans and Mix (a slab-like version), ideally suited for complex typography. Nexus Typewriter completes the family.
One of the special sorts in the Nexus family is a series of italic Swash characters, inspired very much by the Italian writing masters from the Renaissance. Nexus Italic Swash has two different swash capitals. Moreover, all 26 lowercase characters have an end swash, both in a short version and in a long version.
There is a range of special characters available in the Nexus family, such as squares, circles, stars and arrows in both solid and outline.
In 2006 the Nexus family was awarded a first prize at the Creative Review Type Design Awards in London in the category Text Families.
The Nexus family is available as OpenType Pro fonts and Webfonts. Buy the fonts at MyFonts, or activate the fonts in the Adobe Creative Cloud app.
The three versions of Nexus are work-horse typefaces, suitable for complex typography. Here you can find some great examples of Nexus in use.
