ポタフェス2015に出展するApple関連に詳しい複数の関係者の話しによると、Appleは、2016年にHi-Res Audio仕様に準拠した、最大96kHz/24bitのHi-Res Audioストリーミングを開発しているようです。

また、多くの高級オーディオメーカーが、2016年にLightning対応オーディオケーブルを追加する計画のようで、Apple MusicのHi-Res Audio対応に向けて、オーディオメーカーも準備を進めているようです。

iOS 9がインストールされたLightning搭載端末は、最大192kHz/24Bit出力に対応出来るようになっていますが、Apple Musicのダウンロード楽曲のサンプリング周波数がどこまでの仕様になるのかは不明のようです。

The Lightning terminal with iOS 9 is compatible up to 192kHz/24Bit, but we do not have information on the sampling frequency of Apple Music download music.
