It was the first hotel of its kind in New York City, offering multiple rooms to suit the needs of individuals and families alike, including single-room/shared bathroom pods, full and queen pods with private bathrooms and a studio pod ideal for up to four guests. The rooms are comfortable, colorful and outfitted with stylish furnishings and the amenities guests crave, including central air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, a workspace and more.

Pod 51 is ideal for work or play, with a relaxing rooftop deck and outdoor garden, as well as a café. Guests can dine at Clinton Hall, a full-service restaurant featuring gourmet, sustainably-sourced food and seasonal menus, Supercraft a microbrewery that features 20 craft beers that are made to exacting specifications with an onsite Flux Capacitor. The menus are packed with inventive interpretations of classic comfort foods, paired to perfection with Supercraft beers.

The hotel is located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan's East District, adjacent to some of the city's best shopping, museums, and business facilities. It's within walking distance of Grand Central Station, as well as steps from three major subway lines.

Pros (+) Being an affordable place to sleep. But disappointed to not have a bathroom ensuite. I didn't realize when i booked this time. I normally get a room at Pod WITH a bathroom and it's fine. This one did not have one and was a real pain.

Pros (+) Compact room but has everything needed, even natural light. I had room with en suite toilet and shower.
Cons (-) Free coffee either in room or downstairs. I don’t mind the tiny room but not at the high price (over $200). Need USB outlets.

Pros (+) Great location. Within walking distance of iconic sights like Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and Times Square. Near great shopping districts and good restaurants. Cute rooftop deck. Clean, trendy bathrooms and rooms.
Cons (-) Noisy and bright location. Difficult to sleep. Not the most relaxing.

Pros (+) I love this hotel. I’m use to suites and thought the size of the room would be a problem. It wasn’t! It’s location is so great we were barely there. While we were there it was comfortable.
Cons (-) The shower head is in the center of the shower. Thank goodness I brought my shower cap.
