Robert "Bobby" Wilson (born February 27, 1980), better known by his stage name Bobby V, is an American recording artist, pianist, singer and songwriter.

Early life and career beginnings

Bobby V was born (Bobby Wilson) on February 27, 1980, in Mississippi. He later moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up V listened to Michael Jackson, Tony! Toni! Tone!, Marvin Gaye, Jodeci, and The Isley Brothers. Those were the artists that inspired him to become a R&B singer. He later returned to his pier appearing on the debut episode of MTV's Once Upon A Prom, which aired on May 19, 2007. V entered the music scene in 1996 as a member of the R&B youth quartet Mista, at this time using his real name, Bobby Wilson. Under the production of Organized Noize (TLC's "Waterfalls"), the group released their self-titled debut album, which produced the single "Blackberry Molasses". However, the album did not follow in the same success and despite a second album being produced by Tim & Bob, it was never released. Due to management issues the group split in 1997. Bobby later enrolled at Clark Atlanta University majoring in Mass Communications. While in school, Bobby V continued to record in his free time in hopes of one day returning to the stage. In the spring of 2002 he auditioned for season one of American Idol, but did not make the cut.

Overview

The a-side track of this single was used as the ending theme song for the anime "Capeta." The b-side song is not sung by Ryo, but instead by Hisayoshi Hayashi and Yoshiyasu Hayashi.

Like the single before it, this single failed to even make it in the Top 50 on the Oricon Weekly Charts, managing to grab a weak spot at #145.

Dave Gettings, on his now infamous "dawg house stand up bass," is an extremely talented musician from a long line of talented musicians and plays multiple instruments. Dave is our most experienced musician of the band and has been playing in bands for decades... He brings a wide variety of styles and his upright bass gives us that roadhouse vibe, you can directly hear how his influence and acoustic depth has expanded our sound. Lead Guitarist Todd Arita is an aficionado of all things from the 50's and rockabilly/jump swing background clearly on display. Similar to the guitar sound that Billy Zoom brought to the band X, Todd's melodic and inspired guitar solos and signature guitar sound rounds out and strikes a definitive aural uniqueness that sets the Hired Gun Trio no matter what genre they are playing. Drummer Daniel “Animal” McKinney hailing from Long Beach, has been playing since Jr. High starting in the marching and jazz band where he got the nickname “Animal” for the way he played and continuing thru High School…eventually playing in the DrumCorp with Santa Ana Winds and Fountain Valley Kingsman. Daniel has an extensive background playing different styles of music including Jazz Fusion and R&B. From Bob Dylan to Neil Young, and now our Scotty, goes against industry standards and our band is indicative of that... Dave Gettings, on his now infamous "dawg house stand up bass," is an extremely talented musician from a long line of talented musicians and plays multiple instruments. Dave is our most experienced musician of the band and has been playing in bands for decades... He brings a wide variety of styles and his upright bass gives us that roadhouse vibe, you can directly hear how his influence and acoustic depth has expanded our sound. Lead Guitarist Todd Arita is an aficionado of all things from the 50's and rockabilly/jump swing background clearly on display. Similar to the guitar sound that Billy Zoom brought to the band X, Todd's melodic and inspired guitar solos and signature guitar sound rounds out and strikes a definitive aural uniqueness that sets the Hired Gun Trio no matter what genre they are playing. Drummer Daniel “Animal” McKinney hailing from Long Beach, has been playing since Jr. High starting in the marching and jazz band where he got the nickname “Animal” for the way he played and continuing thru High School…eventually playing in the DrumCorp with Santa Ana Winds and Fountain Valley Kingsman. Daniel has an extensive background playing different styles of music including Jazz Fusion and R&B. Musical influences include Dennis Chambers, Carter Beauford Will Kennedy and Mike Portnoy and of course Animal with a little Stewart Copeland thrown in for good measure. As the newest member of Hired Gun Trio he brings a unique sound and style to the group. Robert "Bobby" Wilson (born February 27, 1980), better known by his stage name Bobby V, is an American recording artist, pianist, singer and songwriter.

Early life and career beginnings

Bobby V was born (Bobby Wilson) on February 27, 1980, in Mississippi. He later moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up V listened to Michael Jackson, Tony! Toni! Tone!, Marvin Gaye, Jodeci, and The Isley Brothers. Those were the artists that inspired him to become a R&B singer. He later returned to his pier appearing on the debut episode of MTV's Once Upon A Prom, which aired on May 19, 2007. V entered the music scene in 1996 as a member of the R&B youth quartet Mista, at this time using his real name, Bobby Wilson. Under the production of Organized Noize (TLC's "Waterfalls"), the group released their self-titled debut album, which produced the single "Blackberry Molasses". However, the album did not follow in the same success and despite a second album being produced by Tim & Bob, it was never released. Due to management issues the group split in 1997. Bobby later enrolled at Clark Atlanta University majoring in Mass Communications. While in school, Bobby V continued to record in his free time in hopes of one day returning to the stage. In the spring of 2002 he auditioned for season one of American Idol, but did not make the cut.
