Robert "Bobby" Wilson (born February 27, 1980), better known by his stage name Bobby V, is an American recording artist, pianist, singer and songwriter.

Early life and career beginnings

Bobby V was born (Bobby Wilson) on February 27, 1980, in Mississippi. He later moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up V listened to Michael Jackson, Tony! Toni! Tone!, Marvin Gaye, Jodeci, and The Isley Brothers. Those were the artists that inspired him to become a R&B singer. He later returned to his pier appearing on the debut episode of MTV's Once Upon A Prom, which aired on May 19, 2007. V entered the music scene in 1996 as a member of the R&B youth quartet Mista, at this time using his real name, Bobby Wilson. Under the production of Organized Noize (TLC's "Waterfalls"), the group released their self-titled debut album, which produced the single "Blackberry Molasses". However, the album did not follow in the same success and despite a second album being produced by Tim & Bob, it was never released. Due to management issues the group split in 1997. Bobby later enrolled at Clark Atlanta University majoring in Mass Communications. While in school, Bobby V continued to record in his free time in hopes of one day returning to the stage. In the spring of 2002 he auditioned for season one of American Idol, but did not make the cut.

    "Right There" is a song recorded by American singer Nicole Scherzinger for her debut studio album, Killer Love (2011). Written by Ester Dean, Frank Romano, Daniel Morris and co-written and produced by Jim Jonsin, the Island-flavored midtempo pop song sees Scherzinger singing about her lover and telling other women to stay away. "Right There" first impacted radio as Scherzinger's third international single on April 1, 2011, after previous singles met success in the United Kingdom. "Right There" was Scherzinger's third consecutive top three single from her debut album. The song was then re-released on May 17, 2011 in the United States, as Killer Love's lead single, and was remixed to feature two new verses from American rapper 50 Cent. It has reached over 100 million views on YouTube making it VEVO certified.

    The song became successful in many countries reaching the top ten in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Romania, Scotland and the United Kingdom. In the United States, "Right There", reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Scherzinger's most successful US single as solo artist to date.     "Right There" is a song by American singer Ariana Grande featuring rapper Big Sean. The song was released on August 6, 2013 as the third and final single from her debut studio album Yours Truly (2013).

    Background

    Grande has referred to "Right There" as "sort of a sequel" to her first hit single "The Way" due to the songs' similarities in melody and composition. The singer spoke of the mutual interest she and rapper Big Sean felt in wanting to collaborate but mentioned that it took some time for them to find the right song. She said, "We were talking about a few other songs together but it just never worked out and it never was the right moment and then finally 'Right There' came along. And we were like 'Oh this is it'."

    While the song was originally released as a promotional track available for immediate download with pre-orders of Yours Truly on iTunes, Grande stated in an interview that it evolved into a single on its own: "'Right There' is kind of about to be the next single. I think we're going to do a video for it soon. It's just because of what's naturally happened with 'Right There'. Radio's just sort of started picking it up and fans seem to really be responding to that one."
