What is Journo Portfolio?
Journo Portfolio is a full-featured website-building solution designed specifically for creatives and professionals eager to craft a stunning portfolio-style website. If you want to display a collection of work online — be it articles, photographs, designs, or multimedia projects — Journo Portfolio is for you.
Who is Journo Portfolio for?
Journo Portfolio started in 2012 as a tool for journalists to showcase their articles (hence the name), but it has since developed into a full website builder that is used by all manner of professionals looking to showcase a collection of work or projects. This includes writers, photographers, fashion models, architects, designers, tradespeople and more.
Is Journo Portfolio free to use?
Yes, we have a 100% free plan. When you first sign-up you'll start on a 7-day trial of our Plus plan to let you try out all of the features but at the end of the trial you can easily switch to our free plan. You can see all of our plans here.
Can I use my own domain?
Of course! Simply upgrade to Pro and enter your own domain when you do so. You can then check a box to specify that you own the domain. Lastly, you just need to configure the domain to point to our server.
Who owns my domain?
You will. We purchase the domain for you so you don't need to worry about renewing it or setting it up but if you ever want to move away from Journo Portfolio or do something else with your domain we can transfer it into a domain account owned by you. We do not charge for this.
What kind of portfolio items can I add?
Almost any! Write your portfolio items directly on Journo Portfolio, upload a PDF, link to anything on the web or anything that supports it such as a SoundCloud, Vimeo or YouTube video. Our Pro and Unlimited plans allow you to upload and host video and audio files directly. Need support for something you can't currently do? Just let us know and we'll add it for you.
What privacy options are available?
You can choose to have your portfolio publically visible, password protected, accessible only via a secure link or public but with a suppressed search engine presence.
How can I customise my profile?
You can customise pretty much everything. The Journo Portfolio editor lets you choose from multiple themes, change all imagery and text, set theme colours, and fonts and completely control content and layout.
Can I export my data?
Yes, it is easy to export all of the data you add to Journo Portfolio any time with our export option under "Account".
What support is available?
Our support team is always around to answer any questions - no frustrating support ticket systems, just chat with us directly on the site or email us at [email protected].
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime yourself either in your account settings or by contacting us through our chat or email [email protected]. See our cancellation policy for more details.
Are there any discounts available?
If you're a student you can get 50% off in your first year, just email us from your academic email address to get the coupon code. We also offer 50% off if you have multiple sites with us. You can also get a significant discount by paying annually. You can always switch to annual billing later.
