Barbara Joan Becker, 87, died on July 22 at Norwood Crossings in Chicago. She was the wife of Robert for 60 years, and an aunt of 23 nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements were provided by Friedrichs Funeral Home, Mount Prospect.

Wayne Brunzell

Wayne Brunzell, 86, formerly of Wilmette, died on July 26. He was the husband of the late Henrietta, and father to two, and grandfather of six. He served his clients as a civil engineer for 63 years. Funeral arrangements were provided by N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, Glenview.

James Michael Chrabot

of Rolling Meadows

James Michael Chrabot, a Navy veteran and AT&T lineman, died on July 21. He was the husband of Terry, father of four, grandfather of three. Funeral arrangements were provided by Grove Memorial Chapel, Elk Grove Village.

Eleanor “Lorry” Christensen

of Elk Grove Village

Eleanor “Lorry” Christensen, 89, died on July 16. She was the wife of the late Robert, mother of two, grandmother of four, and great-grandmother of four. She was a volunteer with the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW since 1963, Kenneth Young Center as a Meals on Wheels driver for 22 years, and assisted in the office at Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit. Grove Memorial Chapel, Elk Grove Village, handled arrangements.

Stephen Paul Columbia

of Arlington Heights

Stephen Paul Columbia, 70, died on July 18. He dedicated his life to his family, exercised and trained thoroughbred race horses for 23 years, and recently retired from driving for the United States Postal Service. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Diane, their four children, three grandchildren and many others. Funeral arrangements were provided by Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights.

Carol H. Devyor

of Niles

Carol H. Devyor, 86, died on July 27. She was active at St. Mary of the Woods Parish, St. John Brebeuf and the Niles Senior Center. Devyor was married to the late Thomas and is survived by her three children and four grandchildren. Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, Niles, handled arrangements.

Corrine L. Doland

of Buffalo Grove

Corrine L. Doland, 89, died on July 25. She is survived by her sister, nine children, 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She married William in 1953. Her most valued roles were as a homemaker, mother, and grandmother. Funeral arrangements were provided by Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights.

Edward L. Dyjak

of Niles

Edward L. Dyjak, 100, died on July 30. He was the son of the late Anna, brother of the late Jo Sanborn, the late Walter Dyjak, the late Estelle Dyjak, and the late Helen Kolinski. He was survived by his caregivers and his cousins. Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, Niles, handled arrangements.

Robert Harrison

of Arlington Heights

Robert Harrison, 90, also of Elk Grove Village, died on July 23. He served with the Big Red One during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He later joined the 101st Airborne Division for one more tour in Vietnam. He began his career with USPS. He is survived by his wife, Julie, his daughter, three grandchildren, and a sister. Funeral arrangements were provided by Meadows Funeral Home, Rolling Meadows.

James Lion

of Arlington Heights

James Lion, 76, who served in the Army during the Vietnam War, died on July 23. He was the father of Sarah, and grandfather of two. He enjoyed live stage productions, classic movies, and going out to dinner. Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights, handled arrangements.

Ted Otto

of Glenview

Ted Otto, 93, died on July 23. He was born in Poland. He came to the U.S. and raised his family in Park Ridge. He was fluent in Polish and German and served in the U.S. Army for two years as a German interpreter. He was the husband of the late Marianna, father of four, and grandfather of five. Funeral arrangements were provided by Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, Glenview.

Karen L. Schuetz

of Rolling Meadows

Karen L. Schuetz, 60, died on July 27. She had a successful career as a senior branch office administrator at Edward Jones. She is survived by her two daughters, two sisters, and six nephews. Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights, handled arrangements.
