Eleanor “Lorry” Christensen, 89, died on July 16. She was the wife of the late Robert, mother of two, grandmother of four, and great-grandmother of four. She was a volunteer with the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW since 1963, Kenneth Young Center as a Meals on Wheels driver for 22 years, and assisted in the office at Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit. Grove Memorial Chapel, Elk Grove Village, handled arrangements.
Stephen Paul Columbia
of Arlington Heights
Stephen Paul Columbia, 70, died on July 18. He dedicated his life to his family, exercised and trained thoroughbred race horses for 23 years, and recently retired from driving for the United States Postal Service. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Diane, their four children, three grandchildren and many others. Funeral arrangements were provided by Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights.

Corrine L. Doland, 89, died on July 25. She is survived by her sister, nine children, 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She married William in 1953. Robert Harrison, 90, also of Elk Grove Village, died on July 23. He served with the Big Red One during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He later joined the 101st Airborne Division for one more tour in Vietnam. He began his career with USPS. He is survived by his wife, Julie, his daughter, three grandchildren, and a sister. James Lion, 76, who served in the Army during the Vietnam War, died on July 23. He was the father of Sarah, and grandfather of two. He enjoyed live stage productions, classic movies, and going out to dinner. Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights, handled arrangements.

Ted Otto, 93, died on July 23. He was born in Poland. He came to the U.S. and raised his family in Park Ridge. He was fluent in Polish and German and served in the U.S. Army for two years as a German interpreter. He was the husband of the late Marianna, father of four, and grandfather of five.
