Our removal and recycling service make it easier for you to live sustainably. We can swap your old mattress and dispose of it in a sustainable, environmentally friendly way at minimal cost to you.
How the service works
You can choose to your have old mattress collected and recycled when you order a new mattress from IKEA. We offer two options for mattress removal specified below.
When you shop at your local IKEA store:

Buy a mattress in-store, organise the delivery and mattress removal service at the same time.

Prepare your old mattress to be taken away in the bag provided in-store or by the service provider. As part of our health and safety measures, the mattresses must be fully covered in the bag before being handled by the service provider.

Our partners will remove and recycle your old mattress and while you await the arrival of your fresh new IKEA mattress. Please note removal and delivery are carried out by different service providers.
When you shop online:

Buy your new mattress online and organise a mattress removal service directly with our trusted partners in NSW, ACT, VIC, WA and SA. Find out more and book mattress removal.

Please note removal of your old mattress and delivery of your new mattress are carried out by different service providers.
The mattress removal service is available in NSW, ACT, VIC, WA and SA. It is not currently available in QLD. Please contact your local IKEA store or call us for information.
