IAC Charitable Foundation

OVERVIEW

IAC Charitable Foundation

The IAC Charitable Foundation is dedicated to empowering communities by addressing urgent needs, advancing equity, and nurturing future leaders. We focus on enhancing educational opportunities, fostering civic engagement, and supporting arts and culture in New York City and beyond. Through targeted grantmaking and programs, we strive to create a thriving community where every individual has the resources and support needed to achieve their full potential.

We are guided by curiosity, a questioning of the status quo, and a desire to embrace new approaches that will best achieve our philanthropic goals. We seek to evaluate impact often and adapt our approaches to address evolving needs quickly. We aim to go deep versus go wide with our resources. We want to maximize impact, supporting initiatives that are local, well-managed, and aligned with our mission. We seek to listen to our partners and trust their expertise. We model our grantmaking and partnerships in such a way that those closest to the issues are leading the design of solutions.

Areas of Focus

  • Education, Inclusion, & Opportunity

Empowering a new generation of leaders starts with quality education for all young people regardless of their socioeconomic background. We provide opportunities and resources that help students of all ages reach their full potential.

  • Civic & Community Engagement

We engage in civic and community initiatives to improve urban life, advance economic opportunities, and enhance our social fabric. We focus on supporting local initiatives aimed at meeting the immediate needs of vulnerable community members in the West Chelsea neighborhood of New York City.

  • Arts & Culture

We seek to enrich our local community by ensuring that art remains a vibrant and accessible part of New York City. We invest in programs that promote diverse voices, inspire creativity, strengthen cultural institutions, and educate the next generation of artists.

  • Hardship Relief

Empowering individuals facing unforeseen hardship by providing direct, no-strings-attached financial support. We believe that everyone deserves dignity, agency, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives with the resources they need, when they need them most.

Foundation Programs

IAC Charitable Foundation has established several programs that seek to meet significant and urgent financial needs of individuals in our community.

Scholarship Program

The Foundation awards scholarships to high-achieving, high-performing students from historically and systemically underrepresented communities who demonstrate significant and urgent financial needs on campus. The program's independent scholarship selection committee awards scholarships up to $10,000 for specific academic related purposes as informed by the student’s application and approved by the committee, such as tuition, textbooks, technology, and on-campus housing.

IAC Fellow Hardship Relief Program

The IAC Fellows Program aims to engage aspiring leaders in technology early and often – employing a multi-pronged approach to break down barriers to opportunity in the workplace – so that any student regardless of socioeconomic background can see themselves as a leader at a company like IAC and can make that future a reality. Fellows facing unexpected and severe hardships are eligible to apply for emergency funds through our Fellows Hardship Relief Program administered by independent grant specialists at E4E Relief. These cash grants up to $10k may be used for emergency medical situations, disasters, or other general hardships.

IAC Employee Hardship Relief Program

The IAC Employee Hardship Relief Fund was established to help full-time IAC corporate employees facing unexpected financial adversity due to qualifying hardships or disasters. The fund provides cash grants up to $10k to employees who can demonstrate hardship to independent grant specialists at E4E Relief. Our hope is that through this fund IAC can provide a safety net for employees during difficult times, demonstrating a commitment to our community’s well-being and fostering a supportive work environment.
