Dr. Alan Rucker is the managing editor for HustleBelt.com, an SBNation and Vox Media site, a position he has held since 2016. Before joining HuslteBelt, Alan was the owner and executive editor of OverThePylon.net, covering Ball State University football. Additional writing credits for Alan include Maple Street Press, Rivals.com, and numerous guest articles and contributions across the college athletics landscape. He has also been a frequent guest on multiple radio shows and podcasts. In his day-to-day life, Alan is a two-decade-plus higher education professional, currently working in housing and property management. He has an earned doctorate and MBA from Morehead State University and an earned master's and bachelor's degree from Ball State University. He has authored multiple articles and chapters on educational change management and presented at numerous national and international conferences on a wide range of subjects. Alan currently resides outside Lexington, KY with his golden retriever Lancer.
