A friend has a new kitchen and I would like to get her something special for it, but want it to be a surprise so I cannot ask her for ideas! She loves being surprised, but here are some things I have heard her saying that she "needs" to get.

A cookbook holder of some sort (for countertop). Any brands you love/think is better than some?

A good clock in black/stainless

Paper towel holder - modernish looking

Salad spinner

Can you think of something you'd love to have that's helpful as well, but is also good quality, and looks good?

She did get rid of a lot of smaller stuff, that much I know. Her hubby got her tons of Le Creuset and good knives. So think useful items.
