Gino’s Vino Celebrates Two-Year Anniversary
As Highest-Rated Austin Italian Restaurant For 2017
Special Menu Will Be Offered During “A Week Of Valentine’s” Promotion
AUSTIN, TX (January 24, 2018) Gino’s Vino Osteria announced today that it will be celebrating its second year in business with a special Valentine’s menu under the promotion “A Week Of Valentine’s.” The special menu, which includes a 4-course meal with choice of appetizer, second course, and entrée, plus dessert for $65, will be offered from Thursday February 8 through Valentine’s Day, Wednesday February 14 and can be viewed by visiting https://www.ginosvino.com/
Gino’s Vino, which opened February 14, 2016, has carved out a unique niche in the crowded Austin Italian restaurant space, combining an old-school vibe with delicious food, live music, and potent cocktails. The restaurant received consistently high customer ratings on Yelp, Google, and TripAdvisor last year, achieving an average 4.6 star rating (out of 5) on Yelp, 4.7 on Google, and 4.5 on TripAdvisor to claim 1st place in online ratings for Austin Italian eateries in 2017.
“The online reviews have been fantastic and confirm that we’re doing the right things, focusing on quality and customer experience and offering something unique to the community” says owner Gino Catenacci. “We don’t pay a PR company to solicit media reviews, and we do almost no advertising, so the online review sites have been our go to marketing tool”. Gino’s Vino also relies heavily on social media, word-of-mouth, and an ever-expanding wine club and email list, plus special promotions and monthly wine dinners with original themes like murder mystery, chuck wagon, and taste of Argentina.
According to the Austin Chronicle, there are almost 100 Italian restaurants in Austin now, with 1/3 of those opening in just the past few years. In such a crowded marketplace, the calling card for Gino’s Vino has been offering what no one else does… a throwback to a simpler era. “Walking into Gino’s Vino is like taking a step back in time” says regular customer Curtis Mansfield. “The owner greets you when you arrive, you’re whisked away quickly to your table, the drinks are stiff, the food portions are generous and satisfying. Then you have live music 4 nights a week, usually jazz-oriented, and it’s like you’re back in the 1950s, hanging out with the Rat Pack… and Gino.”
Servers prepare delicious tableside Caesar salads, carved rack of lamb, and desserts like flaming cherries jubilee. The menu is brimming with savory entrees such as squid ink linguini with scallops, shrimp, and salmon; baked sausage and mushroom ravioli; and bistecca alla pizzaiola. Gino himself can usually be found behind the bar whipping up one of his award-winning cocktails, out on the floor taking care of patrons, or occasionally blowing a mean harmonica with the live musicians that regularly perform.
“We’ve had a great year, with a steady uptick in revenues, and we’re really excited about the future.” Gino adds. “I want to thank our wonderful customers for posting those nice reviews online and for supporting our restaurant. Obviously, we could never have gotten this far without them!”
Gino Catenacci is available for interviews by phone, email, or in person, upon request.
