Okay, so my DDs, who were quite vociferously against painting the LR woodwork in Maine, now agree it is the best choice. However, they also feel that the room has lost a bit of its character and uniqueness. (true).

You may recall that I vacillated between 1)grasscloth and 2)a pale blue paint (since nixed).

Early on I had also considered 3)a patterned grasscloth, then dismissed it. I think the pattern is back under consideration. My DDs feel that I am skewing a bit too hotel lobby and think I need something with a bit more to say.
