I've nothing against tradition or neutral colors. But your room needs a big kick in the fanny : ) Don't love the mirror over the bed, and don't love the bench at the foot of the bed. I think you could love the kick of some ART over the bed, and upholstered bench.......some shams perhaps in a tone from the art...etc. I might try some crystal/simple lamps..........

Then kick that room in the tush........beware too much restraint or you end with yawn: ) texture, a bit of contrast.....even a dab of color. None of those means you lose tradition.
