HeatPump - what gives more wear - running during heating or cool
13 years ago
I was just wondering - what is harder on a heat pump condensor - running during heating cycles or cooling cycles?
Obviously during heating cycles going into defrost can eventually wear out a heatpump, but today's heatpumps with demand defrost go into defrost significantly less.
When in cooling mode does the cold running into the inside A-coil harder than the heat of the heat cycle?
Also I assume that running longer run times is much better than starting and stopping.
