IR Sauna + Cold Plunge
The therapeutic use of hot/cold therapy dates back to ancient civilizations where water was used as a medium for transferring heat and cold to the body for the treatment of various ailments. There was certainly a lot of wisdom in these early hydrotherapy practices, and there is now a growing body of modern scientific research exploring the many benefits of exposing the body to extreme temperatures. We’re on board, and have decided to try offering hot/cold therapy as a new service!
Pricing
$65/Session + $20 additional charge to bring a guest (Max. 2 people in room)

Booking a Session & Recommended Protocol
You'll get a private room with an Infrared Sauna and Cold Plunge for an hour* (See protocol below). The combination will leave you feeling amazing and happens to also be a great way to prepare for a deeper float experience.
Our Cold Plunges are kept cool at about 45-50°F. Depending on tolerance levels, you’ll immerse yourself in the cold for a period of 1-4 minutes each time. There is a large digital clock on the wall to help you gauge timing.
Everyone is different, and the key is to be gentle with yourself when starting out! If you can only last a few breaths, that’s okay! It takes a bit of courage each time, and you’re building a relationship with the cold***
***Before paying to use our cold plunge service, try getting accustomed to cold showers at home first!
Start with 10 breaths or 30 seconds
Contrast Therapy (Hot/Cold) Benefits
Improved blood flow and lymphatic circulation by alternating between vasodilation (hot) and vasoconstriction (cold) of the blood vessels. This process also reduces inflammation and alleviates pain.
Exposure to extreme temperatures triggers the production of heat shock and cold shock proteins, which repair damaged proteins and cells, improve immune system response, speed up muscle recovery, and reduce fatigue.
The cold shock response has a protective effect on the brain and may reduce the risk of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
Regular cold immersions have been shown to boost metabolism, supporting healthy weight management.
Cold plunging is also essentially a workout for your nervous system, as you utilize the breath to relax the body and build resiliency to the stress and sensation of the cold.

It depends on what you are trying to achieve. For improving general well-being, 1 session/week is beneficial. If you’re looking to treat an inflammatory condition or speed up muscle recovery post-workout or training, more regular treatments will be needed. Always consult with a medical practitioner before using saunas and/or cold immersion to treat a pre-existing condition.
