We got walloped with a huge snow storm and a foot of snow a few days ago - even the birds were taking shelter!
The recent trip to the lakes, more especially Derwent water led to some beautiful moments, none more so than the moment the sun broke through the mist and trees to produce a stunning sight that was reflected wonderfully in the lake as well
Wagtails at the lake near my home have one juvenile.
He is as big than mom and dad, and soooo noisy :)
Easy for the photographer to find them now
For this one I was on a bridge and the wagtails in tree over the lake or under the bridge on the ground
ps : in the shadow of big trees over the lake so very high ISO for this one

We have had, over the years many walks in to the countryside, over hills and visits to gardens and arboretums. I cannot remember all the places now, but I hope you will get as much enjoyment out of them as we did.
Apologies to anyone that I have missed since my absence. Keep well and stay safe. Patrick

I captured this exposure just after sunset, when most of the stars had made an appearance in the sky. The Seven Sisters star cluster (the Pleiades) can be seen to the top left. I did some post production work to bring out the sunset colours and to enhance the stars.
