The lovely pink Dahlia "Hilltop Lost Treasure," photographed in the Dahlia Garden at Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park on Long Island in New York.
First discovered by Meriwether Lewis and the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Also the state flower of Montana.
Christmas after all is the celebration of love and light, grace and joy... the birth of a King who 's showing it all!
Again this year neither I could succeed in taking any good traditional Christmas pictures! I had taken this one before and immediately when seeing it I had already thought of saving it for Christmas... it just felt like that. After all it has golden light in it and I just very much like that in combination with this baby pink!! So suiting even very well I should think, yeah, come to think of it... should have just sticked to my first idea and not have wasted my efforts... coming back to it anyway!!!! But then again, now writing about it I understand... always feels like it 's so in the hands of God teaching us so subtily... or it 's maybe just us getting distracted and confused by 'wordly ways', because I could have thought of why it made me feel like that also right away, without having to need all the extra frustration and uncertainty! Let 's just say all 's well that ends well, but God, it can take long and much!!!!!!!! Just like that Kingdom, yeah... feels to me only like it should have been here already longtime! Let 's just wish for it real hard now...

Another of the early dahlias in the dahlia garden at Volunteer Park.
All of these dahlia shots came from a walk to the park in the late afternoon sun.
This reflects my mood today. I had a wonderful day with my kindergarteners - they are learning so much and so quickly! Although I did have a poop incident last week - it's a good thing I didn't upload that day, lol...
Same pink roses smaller vase of them. I just got a bunch of cool vases from the thrift store, this one was .25 cents. I love bargains!!
Bougainvillea come in many different colours - I think this shade of pink is rather less common than other colours

It's now a year to the day since I created my video tribute to pop culture entity Filthy Frank so I figured it was time to do another. Wonder how he'll manage to fuck this one up.
This build borrows a bunch of limb techniques from Vitroleum, so a big shout out to my current favorite character builder.
The dark pink bricks in this model are actually photoshopped light gray bricks, since there's precious little in the way of decent bricks available in that color. Sorry, purists!

Spotted this pink Volvo tractor in a field as i drove by. The scene was perfect. Pink evening sky, pink tractor and some pink flowers scattered the field.

Treeson lends a hand with my sewing today. I love love love this chandelier fabric and have been holding on to it, waiting for inspiration. I think it will be a skirt/blouse set.
The sun is shining and I will be spending the rest of the afternoon making mustard and taking dolly pictures for fun. Yay!
