Increased the ISO some to see if it provided better overall results ... I think the version at ISO 2500 was better. But then that could have also been because the wind was gusting more or less.
The winds were around 20 to 30 MPH last evening ... and bitter cold with temperatures heading towards 15 degrees F.
Had to have the gloves off to manually focus the lens ... brrrrr.
Went out on this relative clear evening to catch the moon there in the 'blue sky'. There was some very very thin cloud layer there that added just a hint of glow as the sun was setting.
You can compare this view to the one night before in the darker sky. Like the moon here on the blue sky at sunset.
Feeling closer than ever before!
The full moon on November 14, 2016, will present the closest supermoon of the year (356,509 kilometers or 221,524 miles). What’s more, this November 14, 2016 full moon will showcase the moon at its closest point to Earth thus far in the 21st century (2001 to 2100), and the moon won’t come this close again until the full moon of November 25, 2034. 18 years to go!!!

The skies cleared just before dawn and I got to see the super moon before the morning fog set in. See you in 2034.

Madison, Wisconsin. In our location, there has been haze and an occasional smell of smoke from forest fires in western Canada and the northwestern United States. Perhaps the color of the moon is an addition effect caused by the atmospheric conditions due to the fires.
The Moon
by Robert Louis Stevenson
The moon has a face like the clock in the hall;
She shines on thieves on the garden wall,
On streets and fields and harbour quays,
And birdies asleep in the forks of the trees.
The squalling cat and the squeaking mouse,
The howling dog by the door of the house,
The bat that lies in bed at noon,
All love to be out by the light of the moon.
But all of the things that belong to the day,
Cuddle to sleep to be out of her way;
And flowers and children close their eyes
Till up in the morning the sun shall arise.
