RED London I- Big ben & Phone

One of the iconic locations of the Great Ocean Road. It still looks impressive, even after part of it fell down. Yes, London Bridge really is falling down, just like in the the nursery rhyme.

"Jono and I went for a late supper tonight. We'd been discussing some works we wanted to do on the house and sitting at home all afternoon I needed a change of scene. The table outside was refreshing, the cool London evening enveloping our little space. Buster kept yapping up at me for food... the waiter was a tad tardy, but it was fun watching life continue around us. The streets were emptier than usual, covid at the front of everyones mind."

I had so much fun setting up this scene with Jono. With a mixture of buildings between us, some quick texturing updates and a handful of helpful passers by we really made this feel lifelike. Jono was inspired by his Bus purchase too! Hopefully we get to use some of this build again somewhere larger than my platform where we can really go to town! :p

For New Years I have re-issued a couple from southwestern Ontario - This was taken 46 years ago yesterday just west of London, Ontario, by the shadows in this image this must be train #70. With SD40-2 5747 leading the way it would have left Windsor around breakfast time. Here it is just east of the east switch at Lobo, Ontario, it also has the only M640 built the 4744 trailing. Behind it up front are some empty stock cars picked up at Bothwell and/or Appin on the trip over - December 30, 1976.

Quite different to things where I live, so I took a photo. :-) The buildings are actually quite low, only four floors on the left for example, but the scene still feels a bit cramped and overbearing.

Photo taken 10th October 2022 while out on the beers.
